Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of the Handshake service and related messaging, billing, and support workflows.
Handshake is a service offering of CBC DVM INC.
Use of Service
Handshake provides communication infrastructure between businesses and customers. The service must be used only for lawful business purposes and only for its intended operational use.
User Content Responsibility
Providers are solely responsible for all messages, files, links, and other content transmitted using the service. Handshake does not review, validate, endorse, or assume liability for user-generated content.
Acceptable Use and Compliance
Users must comply with applicable laws, carrier requirements, platform policies, and payment processor rules. Prohibited conduct is described further in the Acceptable Use Policy.
SMS Terms
Provider administrators who register with the Handshake system may receive SMS messages related to provider account administration, including administrator access approvals, account verification, billing notifications, and account status updates.
Message frequency varies depending on account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance.
Payments and Billing
Payments may be processed through Stripe. By using paid portions of the service, the user authorizes applicable charges. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement.
HIPAA Disclaimer
Handshake is not intended for the storage or transmission of protected health information. Users are responsible for ensuring that regulated health information is not submitted through the service unless and until a separate written agreement expressly permits such use.
Service Availability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. No service-level agreement is provided through this public site, and Handshake does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, uptime, delivery, routing, or performance.
Termination
Handshake may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at its sole discretion for violations of law, abuse, fraud risk, nonpayment, security concerns, platform risk, or misuse of the service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handshake and its affiliates, officers, agents, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of law or these terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handshake is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the service.
Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to the service or these terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Orlando, Florida, except to the extent a claim may be brought in small claims court or where injunctive relief is otherwise available by law.

The service is not directed to children under 13.
